HomeDana Cea(Steve's Ph.D. Student)If you all did include all three videos on the first page, to keep it less cluttered, you could have the introduction video always show and have the provider and consumer videos and information "drop down" after selecting provider or consumer.October 17, 2018 @ 01:13pm

Homeexpert panelpost test needs 66% correct to pass. Then the post test changes to already completed?September 27, 2018 @ 11:45am
HomeDebJo had mentioned including the original RSES citation on our portal. We could include a citation on the page where the provider gets the results of the screener and has the choice to click on the RSES for more information about the document. Can we also include any other references for them to go to and read more information if interested. I like having the link there for the provider to read a bit more about the instrument if interested in doing so. In fact, do we want to include some references for the various screeners on another part of the portal, prior to the provider having completed the instrument with the consumer and going to the scoring page?September 27, 2018 @ 11:06am
TrainingMichelleDASTQ2 is currently blank. I agree with Jo that we could / should require a score to move forward if possible. Then intro would need to include that. We need, at a minimum, to describe what each button does.September 27, 2018 @ 11:00am

Introductionjodo we really need to collect the demographic info? are you thinking well publish a paper describing our users? September 27, 2018 @ 10:41am
IntroductionMichelleDemographics: If the information is NOT going to be mined, why are we asking? How will it be used? If we do need it: Gender and Race - possibly look at U of Louisville Data Collection for more inclusive terms. Making the information mandatory on personal identity can turn off people. AGE: Some cases can be opened before age 18. Counselors using the site should be over 24 if they have a masters. DEAF: If a description is by one, it should be used by all. Capitalize all to show equal consideration. Need to include Deafblind as an option. LANGUAGE: Maybe ask - What is your preferred or best language? Less offensive than What language do you understand.September 27, 2018 @ 10:40am
HomejoIs it correct to say that provider will score and interpret the tests? wont we be doing the scoring and providing interpretation?September 27, 2018 @ 10:32am
EmailVerifyMichelleThere was quite a delay between requesting entry and getting the verification email. We may want to encourage people to sit down and explore the site before they sit down with an individual.September 27, 2018 @ 10:20am
HomeDebWe talked about the providers having to see the description of Annie in ASL and English of the introduction that is available before moving on - so, once they have registered, does that automatically pop up? I thought that would happen at least the first time the person gets on the site. I dont see that disclaimer or description of the intro to deaf culture training unless I go to the drop down that says introduction September 26, 2018 @ 11:33am
HomeDebThe first part of what Annie says, (first paragraph of the written text) is a good starting point for the index/front page as an overview of the site.) Then when you get to the introduction page, start the ASL and English with the 2nd paragraph (disclaimer) and 3rd paragraph- purpose of the Deaf Culture VideoSeptember 26, 2018 @ 11:30am
ManageConsumersJanetIn the Manage my Consumers section, can there be a list of the consumers registered by the counselor? Also, it would be convenient to have the Usernames and PWs listed with the names and ID numbers -- it is easy for a counselor or a client to forget that info. That may be against data protection rules, though. In ABS (at CHS), you can search for clients by name. Can we add real names when registering the consumers?September 25, 2018 @ 08:11pm
TrainingJanet1) Deron signs each item number, but we do not have item numbers with the English items (unless you count the variables in the top left corner... but consumers probably would not recognize those as item numbers). Do we want to have item numbers with the English items? 2) We should double check the English items as they appear on the screen with the English as it appears on paper. I think they are fine, except for some punctuation. I don't mind doing it - I am a grammar nerd. September 25, 2018 @ 07:47pm
TrainingJanet1) The text that is showing for the DAST-10 -- is that just placeholder text? Whatever we have there in English, it should match what we have signed in the video. (I don't recall the introductory DAST English test in sign.) 2) What is Post-test for? After someone goes through training, are we going to give them a post-test? 3) I know I sound like a broken record, but could the default font size be bigger? Im not that old, but even for me, the font is small. September 25, 2018 @ 07:30pm

ConsumerResponsesDebcheck RSES scoring formula- how it totals points if matches formula for adding scoresItems 1,3,4,7, 10 Give Strongly Disagree” 4 point, “Disagree” 3 points, “Agree” 2 points, and “Strongly Agree” 1 points Items 2, 5, 6, 8, 9 are reverse scored. Give “Strongly Disagree” 1 point, “Disagree” 2 points, “Agree” 3 points, and “Strongly Agree” 4 points. Sum scores for all ten items. Keep scores on a continuous scale. Higher scores indicate higher self-esteem. September 25, 2018 @ 03:20pm
ConsumerResponsesDebI am working on a general powerpoint of features of the STAR site - is there a place that I can see a list of the assessments a consumer has taken i.e. Thomas? September 25, 2018 @ 02:26pm
HomeDebI am sending this in an email so it is more clear but what if: Page 1 of the portal have the following Video and verbage in english The resources on this site provide culturally-appropriate assessments and screeners to use when working with deaf and hard-of hearing individuals. The assessments and screeners focus on career and behavioral health information. Not only can you provide the assessments and screeners to deaf and hard of hearing consumers on line in ASL, you will also be able to score them and interpret the results. ASL (the above description is the overview of the portal and that is what Annie signed - so we have that video that either she or someone else we put there i.e. if we decide we need to include more diversity would be signing that introduction. So what if on the front page - you have the video and englishverbage of the portal description - and some of the bullet points below which really are an expansion of the summary of the site. Page 2 of the portal Then on the next page that you see: have the disclaimer(which is also signed) and that could be where you see the provider picture to click and the DHH picture to click. DISCLAIMER: This site contains culturally-appropriate tools for use with individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing (DHH). These resources do not replace the need for specialized training, ethical and responsible judgment of professionals, or qualified interpreters during all interactions with consumers who are DHH It would then be on page 2 where you would have the Provider video box to click on and the DHH box to click on if two separate boxes are needed for the registration process The description that Annie did that is the overall summary and the description under the provider picture seems somewhat similar, so I think it would make more sense to be on a 2nd page of the portal if possible. September 21, 2018 @ 11:10am
HomeDebThank you so much for sending this out Jared. A couple initial things 1. The Registration, provider information and consumer information - I assume this was a temporary placeholder having Valerie sign this and that we will be having Annie be the person doing the signing on the introductory page- which I thought was completed when she was doing the intro to deafness, unless that wasn't finished yet.2. I find the registration part confusing- so the Deaf person or the provider registers - we need to clarify who it is intended for.If for the provider, that is fine, and then the DHH consumer confirms they have given permission - that makes sense, but since there is a separate provider section, it was confusing if registration was for the provider or consumer. Since the online portal can't be used until a confirmation is sent - some DHH clients have no email..So under consumer information - it says Find Out more - assume there will be some other box the DHH person checks off.3. The verbage used in the Provider Information - is a bit rough grammatically and there are typos in this section as well.... i.e. assessments spelled wrong, syntax errors - Provider Information Thank you for your interest in using your the assesments and screeners included on this online portal. SARDI The purpose for providing provides this online suite of behavioral health and work interest assessments and screeners is to improve access to behavioral health toolsthese tools for deaf consumers and provide more accurate results to the counselors. The portal also provides anAn overview of how to use the online portal, is included as well as training on how to use and to score the online behavioral health and work interest tools,. Additionally, you will have the ability to administer and score ten behavioral health tools in ASL related to mental health, substance abuse, and career exploration. We hope these tools are helpful for your consumers. Click the button below to find out more! 4. I think we should say DHH because not all the consumers using this will be just DeafSeptember 13, 2018 @ 03:23pm
AssignInstrumentsJanetWhen I try to assign an assessment to a consumer, it only lets me click for them to take training, there is no way to have them take the assessment. I had Deb go on as me and the same thing happened, I went on her site and saw how it should look.September 27, 2018 @ 10:36am

HomeKTI can click on a response and move on before the video is done playing, meaning, I can just click through the assessment without watching the video in its entirety. Is there a way (should there be a way) to prevent that from happening? September 12, 2018 @ 03:21pm

AddConsumerSteveOops--I acted too soon.the sentence An e-mail will be sent to that consumer asking them to verify their e-mail address and to complete their registration. should be changed to something like: An e-mail will be sent to the consumer asking for verification of e-mail address and to complete registration.September 17, 2018 @ 10:18am

ConsumerResponsesDebno completed responses error message shows up even though there are responses on the SWLSSeptember 27, 2018 @ 08:57am
ConsumerResponsesDebIt took me a while to finally go in as a provider and figure out what is needed to register the consumer and then assign the screeners by checking the box for the SWLS and RSES and then log out and back in as the consumer to be able to complete the tools - again, it will be crucial when the provider and consumer are there together and the client is being registered to write that information down or it will be frustrating. Once I finally was able to figure the process out, I logged back in as a consumer, completed the assessments, logged back out and back in as the provider and viewed the result. It all worked fine. We will have the powerpoint and ASL of how to use the tools, and it will be good to have a document about the instrument in the results area for the provider to refer too - for the SWLS, there is an interpretation of what the score means. For the RSES, there is not - i do have that included on the powerpoint, and we could create a word document that would include the scores meaning: I cut and pasted some of the information I have on the powerpoint as an example. The scale ranges from 0-30. Scores between 15 and 25 are within normal range; scores below 15 suggest low self-esteem.The scale ranges from 0-30, with 30 indicating the highest score possible. Other scoring options are possible. For example, you can assign values 1-4 rather than 0-3; then scores will range from 10-40. Some researchers use 5- or 7-point Likert scales, and again, scale ranges would vary based on the addition of "middle" categories of agreement.Add up the scores Here are some cutoffs to be used as benchmarks.30 - 35 Extremely satisfied25 - 29 Satisfied20 - 24 Slightly satisfied 15 - 19 Slightly dissatisfied 10 - 14 Dissatisfied 5 - 9 Extremely dissatisfiedSeptember 25, 2018 @ 10:55am

If you have questions...is acceptable as written. Please do not reply to this email because it is not monitored. September 24, 2018 @ 03:01pm

HomeDebPage One General Comments: We developed a document with information we wanted to have included - Some of this was already done by Annie. This would be the overall introduction that all would see before moving on: Page One of Portal Summary The resources on this site provide culturally-appropriate assessments and screeners to use when working with deaf and hard-of hearing individuals. The assessments and screeners focus on career and behavioral health information. Not only can you provide the assessments and screeners to deaf and hard of hearing consumers on line in ASL, you will also be able to score them and interpret the results. ASLSeptember 25, 2018 @ 11:00am
HomeDebThe blurb at the top is one of the ones that Annie signed,as an introduction to the whole website- so why not have that blurb with Annie signing ( or whoever ends up being there) the description and then show the bullet points and then click to the next page with the provider or consumer information- so they just see the overview before getting into the specific provider and dhh consumer information (the bullets that I have sent you- and just resent)September 25, 2018 @ 10:58am
HomeDebIf the consumer is required to have an email address and they don't have one, I assume the provider would have to help set one up and then retain the record of the email address(not password obviously). We can add to the explanation for the provider that we ask for the consumer's email address to show they are a real person that helps them to understand the need for the email and its role. HomeValerie KappI am assuming that this page will explain that I must watch a video and take a post test in order to be able to utilize the instruments with my consumer. As well as explaining the process and purpose of this web portal/site.September 25, 2018 @ 10:53am
IntroductionDebAgain, assume introduction is a place holder and that we will revise it- as it was intended for those getting paid to participate in the project and the information isn't accurate i.e.that they get $25 for each one they complete for a total of $200 - it currently talks about having a lesser number of assessments/screeners than we now have (it says 8). So, if we have an introduction, we need to redo it - and lets talk about what information should be here ....if .the overall purpose of this introduction - is for the consumer to understand why they are taking an online assessment/screener- and view this with their counselor, it just needs to be redone so the information is accurateSeptember 25, 2018 @ 10:56am
IntroductionJanetFor the check box, we just have that the person has read and understands the content. Shouldn't we also have that you have watched and understand? Maybe something like... I have read OR I have watched the video AND I understand the content. September 27, 2018 @ 10:18am
IntroductionSteveAfter I watch the video/read the text, what am I supposed to do? Perhaps a box to check indicating that I read the intro or a next box to take me to the OTD video?September 24, 2018 @ 01:48pm
